So much success with day one on Shakeology, I was really looking forward to day two. This morning I had my Shakeology for breakfast, as most people suggest. It was very good and once more very filling. Being an extremely early riser, I usually have breakfast around 5:30 and need a snack by 9 or 10. This morning's Shakeology lasted until lunch at noon. I even went to the supermarket at 11 o'clock with none of those holy-crap-I-am-so-hungry-I-am-going-to-throw-everything-I-see-into-the-cart impulses.
One thing I did do this morning that is not generally recommended is that I made the Shakeology without ice. I know for certain that there are very few people who are interested in my eating habits. I am barely interested in them. So, to make a boring story even more excruciating, I am going to delve into my general disdain for cold drinks. I like hot tea. I like hot coffee. I rarely drink soda, but when I do, I like it warm. I don't like ice in my water. It's weird, but it's me. So the whole thing with making Shakeology with ice is not so appealing to me. I did it yesterday and it was fine, but... you know. Not my style.
This morning's Shakeology was one scoop with eight ounces of milk, one tablespoon almond butter, and a splash of Mexican vanilla. It was freaking fantastic. I am here to tell you, if you don't like ice, you don't need it. The shake is just as filling and tastes just as good.
